Liam Bradshaw

Having recently graduated from Birmingham City University, I have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of live sound engineering, sound to film, and have been actively involved in several live performance events whilst at university in addition to securing a placement with a producer working on a variety of tracks for artists and instrumentalists. This involved travelling to Los Angeles and London as required meet client expectations often working unsociable hours and being flexible on availability in order to meet artist and production team schedules.

I am a highly motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who has a passion for sound engineering and a strong desire to learn and develop my skills. I am confident that I can bring a creative and innovative approach to the role, as well as a strong work ethic and a commitment to producing high-quality results.

As a Freelance Producer I have had the opportunity to work with various producers and artists based around the UK, London and Los Angeles. In the Summer of 2022 I travelled to Los Angeles for 2 weeks to work with a producer, producing/ mixing and mastering tracks for them. As a co-producer one of my main jobs was making sure I was making a certain amount of material each day to prepare for sessions with artists we had at night.

In the Summer of 2023 I travelled there again this time for a month, living in a house full of creatives who had the most amazing connections to multiple sectors of the industry. This trip was really important as I got to network with so many different people whether that was: Artists, Managers, Film Directors, Engineers, Studio Managers. My role was similar to last year however I was also engineering sessions for artists whilst resolving technical issues in the session.

Since then I have attended many sessions in London with the producer as they have now moved here. As a Freelance Producer I am currently working on a project to project basis with other clients to ensure I am not tied down to any exclusive longevity deal.

I have a degree in Music Technology (BSc) from Birmingham City University. Whilst on the course I was exposed to every corner of the industry including: Acoustics, Audio Electronics, Music Contract Law, Music Production/ Mixing/ Mastering, Game Audio, Sound to Film, Digital Signal Processing. I have been involved with many live recordings of symphony orchestras and jazz bands where a lot of pre-production practise takes place.
