About

I am currently in education and I am looking for part-time work placement. I am 16 and have my national insurance number. I aspire to gain experience and develop new skills in a workplace setting. I am ambitious, hard working and friendly and would hopefully like to prove this in the workplace.

I am an attentive listener in school and I am working hard to achieve the best GCSE grades I possibly can. As I am still in secondary school, I can only work during the weekdays past 4pm and on the weekends.

Experience

A-Z Family Chiropractic Clinic Blackburn

  • At the clinic, I was provided work experience from school from the 17/6/24 to the 21/6/24.
  • During my time working, I assisted the staff with booking in clients and booking them back in.
  • I built conversation skills by making small talk with the clients, asking them about their experience at the clinic and overall welcomed them in a polite and mature manner.
  • I learnt workplace etiquette from the staff and how to communicate with clients and my colleagues.
  • I operated office equipment such as the company's software for booking clients in and setting up the X-ray machine.
  • In addition to this, I processed expense reports, invoices and receipts.
  • I reordered stock that the staff requested to avoid shortages.
  • I answered incoming calls to arrange appointments, overcome anxiety about speaking to new people and inquire with previous clients about returning.
The Clog and Billycock
  • I worked a trial shift on 27/10/24
  • Although I worked for a day, I learnt new skills about working in hospitality and working as a waitress/ front of house.
  • I brought guests to their tables and made small talk to make their stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
  • I took food and drink orders and put them onto the system.
  • I checked on guests to see if they were having a pleasant time.
  • I was described by the manager as ‘hard working’ and he had not seen me stop doing my work.
  • I cleaned tables and set them appropriately.
