Recently completed a Level 2 Animal Nursing Assistant qualification and gained practical experience working with a variety of animals, including companion animals, horses and zoo animals. 1 week full time work experience in the Equine department.

• Attending emergency and routine call-outs

Work Experience - Small Animals Department - Aln Northumbria Vets

1 week full time work experience in the small animals department.

• Assisting in patient visits
• Neutering operations
• Day to day tasks required

Work Experience Placement - Veterinary Centre - Warsaw, Poland

2 week placement in Warsaw Poland organised through a government scheme alongside college, placed within a veterinary centre locally to experience foreign practices and procedures.

Equine Care & Stable Work - Voluntary / Practical Experience - Self-employed / Private

Ongoing care for own pony and work with horses on site.

• Provide daily care for own pony, including feeding, grooming, mucking out, turnout and bringing in
• Carry out routine grooming, exercise and schooling while developing confident and safe handling techniques
• Assist with general yard duties, maintenance and care of other horses on site
• Support preparation for local equestrian events, including horse handling, organisation and course and judging duties
