About

I am a motivated and reliable professional with a proven ability to deliver high‑quality work in fast‑paced environments. With strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving, I consistently contribute to team success while also working effectively independently. I am now seeking an opportunity to further develop my skills and make a positive impact within a forward‑thinking organisation.

Experience

Charity Shop Volunteer - Dorothy House - Westbury, Wiltshire

(2025-05 - 2025-09)

I worked in a charity shop where I gained valuable hands‑on experience in customer service and teamwork. My main responsibilities included sorting donated items, pricing goods, and arranging displays to make the shop appealing and easy to navigate. I also helped operate the till, handled transactions, and interacted with customers daily.

This role taught me how to communicate effectively with a wide range of people — customers, staff, and volunteers alike. I built strong organisational skills by managing stock and ensuring items were properly categorised. Working in a fast‑paced environment also helped me become more adaptable and confident when dealing with unexpected situations.

Beyond practical skills, I gained a deeper understanding of how charity work supports local communities. Overall, this experience helped me build confidence, responsibility, and a strong work ethic.

Regular Babysitting - A friend's family - Templecombe

(2024-07 - 2025-05)

I regularly cared for a friend's son when his mother was unavailable. My duties included preparing meals, organising activities and games, and ensuring he was safe, happy and well looked after. We built a positive, trusting relationship, and I take pride in being someone both he and his family can rely on.

Through this role I developed great patience, clear communication skills, and the ability to engage children in fun, age‑appropriate activities. I worked mainly at weekends and really enjoy being in a position of trust and supporting others.

Hospitality & Catering Assistant - Holbrook Manor – Weddings, Proms & Events

Supported catering and hospitality operations at weddings, proms and other events. Assisted with food and drink service, prepared event spaces, welcomed guests, maintained high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and worked as part of a team to ensure events ran smoothly in a fast‑paced environment.

Pub Hospitality Staff - Local Pub

Provided friendly customer service by serving drinks, greeting customers, taking orders and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Built strong communication skills by engaging with customers, asking about their day, handling requests professionally and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
