Lily Leach

I'm 17 and currently studying A Level Law, BTEC Psychology and WJEC Criminology at Bolton Sixth Form. I feel ready for work because of the skills I've gained through school, activities and work experience. I went to Stagecoach Drama School for six years which really boosted my confidence with speaking and performing in front of people.

It also helped me build strong teamwork skills, self discipline and the commitment needed to improve over time. Being part of school productions improved my time management and showed me how to work well with others so we can reach a shared goal. I've also volunteered at several school events including two open evenings a careers fair and prefect duties.

These opportunities let me represent the school, communicate with lots of different people and take on responsibilities in a professional setting. I completed a week of work experience at a restaurant on Holy Island where I learned how to stay calm and organised in a fast paced environment. I also developed clear communication with customers and staff and got used to practical tasks like serving, cleaning and helping the team during busy periods.

This made me more confident, reliable and able to work well under pressure. I'd describe myself as hardworking curious and positive. I enjoy working independently and in a team and I'm always ready to learn new skills.

I'm excited to start working and keep developing both personally and professionally.
