I have over 20 years experience in the childcare sector before I trained to be a tutor and internal verifier. I am currently looking for a job due to being made redundant on August 2nd 2022. I am passionate about what I teach and the whole learner journey experience. I also like to keep my own CPD relevant and up to date.

Right Track Social Enterprise - February 2016 to August 2022 (due to redundancy)

November 2019 to present

IQA role, I am the IQA for Sector skills for the workforce, which are 12-week accredited courses. I am currently, IQA level 2 Team leading, Level 2 Customer service and Level 1 Mental health, level 2 Mental health in adults and children. I create a sampling plan of what I am going to IV at the 6-week period and then at the end of the 12-week course. I send reports to the VC and the Manager of RTSE.

September 2019 to present

I am Currently delivering short courses to parents or unemployed through funding for Community and Family learning. I have written and developed and delivered the following courses: English language upskilling course, Maths upskilling course, Developing Speech for children in Early years (this is being delivered to parents in the school their child attends) The courses are run over 4 sessions at 3 ½ hours.

I support my colleagues in delivering Employability or SSW courses when numbers have been high, and they have needed additional tutors to deliver.

 February 2016 to October 2019 

I was a Vocational Coach for childcare teaching and supporting people to work towards their National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 2 and 3. I have a caseload of 40 learners within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

This role involves

• Visiting all learners every 4 weeks.
• Observing and assessing learners in their workplace.
• Plan and deliver vocational training on CYPW LV 2, CYPW LV 3 EYE, Customer service level 2 & 3, Business management level 3, Team Leading level 2, Childcare level 5,Business admin 2 & 3.
• Provide feedback and advice if the outcomes are not met. 
• Keep records on learner’s progress in live files and on Smart Assessor.
• Plan and deliver training for learners to gain their English, Maths and ICT functional skills level 1 and 2. 
• Attend meetings with other Assessors 
• Work Closely with Employers and give regular feedback.
• Use Smart Assessor 
• Complete assessment reviews with learners every 8 weeks.
• Carry out sign ups and exit reviews
• Order and invigilate Functional skills tests.
• Sign of awards when all criteria have been met. 
• Work with the internal and external Verifier.
