Care Navigator - Wigton Group Medical Practice

In my current role as a Care Navigator, I provide administrative and patient support within a busy GP practice. I act as the first point of contact for patients and am responsible for managing patient enquiries, liaising with clinical staff, arranging appointments and supporting the smooth running of the practice. I also manage a high volume of incoming calls, assessing patients' needs and directing them to the most appropriate service or clinician.
I am trained in handling sensitive and confidential information in line with GDPR and NHS guidelines.
Passenger Assistant - Cumbria County Council

My role as a passenger assistant involved assisting children with additional needs during transport to and from school. I was responsible for ensuring the children travelled safely and comfortably, whilst also following safeguarding and transport procedures. I was also responsible for carrying out safety checks on seatbelt use, wheelchair lifts and restraints, harnesses etc.
I built positive relationships with the children, parents, carers and drivers while maintaining awareness of the individual passenger needs. I followed health and safety, safeguarding and emergency procedures at all times and my training on this was updated regularly.

I was responsible for completing home delivery shopping and the customer service desk where I followed challenge-25 policy and assisted customers with their needs.
