I have worked in care for over 26 years where I have been supporting elderly people maintain their quality of life and independence where possible many of the people I have cared for over the years have Alzheimers Disease and Dementia Parkinson disease and Strokes and Heart Conditions End of life care Palliative care, and other age related illness Mental health illness I have enjoyed working in care through the years it has been hard work to get where i am now, working in the care system over the years has been hard work challenging and at times very emotional but it is one of the most enjoyable experience to have to support a resident enjoy the rest of their life being cared for kept safe and well and to help to enjoy their days and listen to their many many stories of their lifes

I first started as a Care Assistant and i worked my way up through the years to become senior carer an then has Deputy Manager/Manager. My role was working alongside Manager with the daily running of the home Following all policy and procedures, updating of care plans, Doing Assessments, Rotas and putting hours worked through to pay roll.
