A highly motivated MArch graduate with practical experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and well-developed interpersonal and organisational skills, gained through academic projects, Part 1 professional practice, and voluntary work. Currently seeking a Part 2 Architectural Assistant role to contribute to meaningful design while continuing to develop professionally. Outside of architecture, I’m a passionate outdoor enthusiast who enjoys horse riding, running, climbing, backpacking through Vietnam and Munro bagging.
During my Part 1 placement, I gained experience in the domestic housing sector, working closely with the design team and consultants. I developed my AutoCAD and SketchUp skills by producing site models, planning applications, and building warrant drawings under the project architect’s guidance. I also became proficient in Union Square for document management.
My work ranged from single dwellings to masterplans, and I used V-Ray to create visualisations for client presentations and site boards. I gained exposure to all RIBA Work Stages (0–7) and attended CPD sessions on sustainable roof design, U-value calculations, and condensation risk. I completed training in Asbestos Awareness, CDM Regulations, Mental Health Awareness, Stress Awareness, and KnowBe4 Security Awareness.
I maintained my PEDR records quarterly and submitted them on time. Regular site visits improved my understanding of health and safety, site procedures, and PPE use. I also attended progress meetings and assisted with issuing interim certificates.
This experience strengthened my technical, design, and project coordination skills in a professional architectural setting.
