I am currently working as a Locum Optometrist in a well establish Opticians and is the heart of a close-knit community. I am actively involved with the management and clinical service in all aspects of optometry at this practice. I have a sub special interest in shared cared schemes and have completed a Professional Certificate in Glaucoma.

My next thought will be looking at becoming an Independent Prescriber. As part of a team, I can manage and lead a practice successfully. I am able to communicate well with patients from all backgrounds and have skills and techniques to lead and coach the team and to also like to improve my own clinical techniques and communication.

I have spent a significant amount of my career working with corporate companies. I have learnt to understand the workings of mainstream care and now work in an independent practice as I now get to spend more time with patients and providing high quality care.
