After leaving Corfe Hills Sixth Form, I went straight into full-time work with BPM, a building company, where I have now worked for three years. During this time, I have gained hands-on experience across a wide range of construction tasks, including bricklaying, building stud walls, roofing, and installing windows and doors. I was also involved in the construction of an entire house from the early stages through to completion.
In addition, I have worked on multiple renovation projects, including kitchens and bathrooms, which involved removing old fittings, preparing spaces, knocking down walls to expand rooms, and assisting with installations. I also have basic electrical experience, including wiring sockets, kitchen extractors, and ceiling lights. Alongside my work in construction, I worked part-time for three years in the kitchen at McDonald's at Wessex Gate, primarily on weekends.
My responsibilities included preparing food, operating the grill, and managing the chicken fryers. This role helped me develop strong teamwork, time management, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. I left this role in August to focus on other opportunities.
In my spare time, I enjoy working on cars and currently own two Mitsubishi Evos. I am in the process of restoring one of them, a project I have been working on for over three years. My interest in cars motivates me to work hard and continue developing my skills so that I can pursue my passions and achieve financial success.
