Hello – I am a highly enthusiastic, experienced, driven and flexible designer with a dependable record of delivering creative and innovative design solutions. For the past 22 years I have produced work for a diverse set of clients – both large companies and small businesses, as well as start-ups and individuals – in sectors ranging from hospitality, leisure, healthcare, finance, events, charity, publishing, transport, property and retail.
This has allowed me to hone my skills and develop a versatile design style that can adapt to any project or client and I have a proven track record of creating visuals for a variety of mediums, including print, digital, and web.
In addition to my technical skills, I have a background in marketing. I understand the importance of creating visuals that accurately portray a brand’s message and identity. I am able to work with clients to ensure that the final product meets their needs within agreed timescales. I can work both independently and as part of a team – liaising with printers, copy writers, photographers, account executives, editors, web developers and marketing specialists.

2000 – 2002 I Informa Publishing Group Plc I DESIGNER
Responsible for the relaunch and monthly production of a financial magazine entitled Planned Savings, together with related supplements and awards brochures. Sourcing of feature and cover visuals through freelance illustrators and picture libraries. Additional work included the design of book/report covers, production of two monthly newsletters and generating visuals for other magazines.
Key skills: Design and layout, proofing, meeting production schedules, hiring and briefing illustrators, the ability to be flexible and work closely with the sales, marketing and editorial teams.
1997 – 2000 I Monitor Press Ltd I DESIGNER / PRODUCT MANAGER
Responsible for implementing and co-ordinating corporate branding throughout the company, including the design of brochures, stationery, product relaunches and promotional literature. Marketing responsibility for the planning and implementation of direct mail campaigns into the B2B sector within an agreed budget and time scale. Close liaison with list brokers, conference companies, editors and printers essential. Key skills:: Creative development, copywriting, understanding costs and targets.
1996 – 1997 I Incentives UK Ltd I DESIGNER / ADVERTISING SALES
Design of advertisements, brochures, mail shots and promotional literature. The development and maintenance of professional relationships with clients. Providing on-site sales and design training to a network of franchises throughout the UK. Selling of advertisement space through field and telesales. Key skills: The ability to recognise and understand individual requirements, effective presentation skills and communication with people at all levels.
