I am a highly experienced clerical specialist with 35 years of knowledge gained from working for multiple directorates/departments within Wigan Borough Council (WBC). For the first 20 years of my council life, I worked in Housing Benefits as a "Benefits Assessor" covering various clerical and technical roles. My job role involved reception duties, and dealing with the public face to face.

Since 2012 I have been employed under the Children and Young Families Directorate within the Children's first partnership hub. My main duty is to ensure that initial information is captured and documented accurately so that follow up actions can be allocated appropriately within the social care network. Confidentiality has always been paramount with all my job role.

Also, in 2014 I qualified for and started working as a Wedding Registrar/Celebrant for WBC. I attend the wedding and ensuring the formal requirements for the nuptials are understood and are legally documented. In addition, on leaving school, I qualified as a hairdresser and worked in a professional salon.

Post this I also had some experience in a factory environment (clothing) and retail establishments.
