Lowri Davies-Sheldon

I am currently in my fourth year of my BSc Marine Biology degree at the University of Plymouth, with a strong interest in marine conservation, scientific research and professional diving. I recently spent six months living in Thailand completing a diving internship, earning my RAID Divemaster qualification, and gaining hands-on experience in dive operations and marine conservation projects. While at university, I am seeking a part-time role where I can apply my strong interpersonal skills, reliability and enthusiasm for learning.

I am confident working in team environments, communicating with a wide range of people, and adapting quickly to new responsibilities. I am motivated, organised, and keen to contribute positively while continuing to develop my professional experience alongside my studies.

Scientific Diving Research Intern and RAID Divemaster - Global Reef - Koh Tao, Thailand

Advancing my diving skills, alongside my scientific research knowledge in Koh Tao, Thailand. I learnt the importance of accurate data collection, public interaction and safety, whilst also being able to practise scientific methods of research such as quadrat sampling, photogrammetry and surveying.

Waitressing, Management and Bar Work - The Crown Gastropub

Waitress and bar management whilst home from university; weddings were also frequent at this venue, meaning organisation had to be precise and bar work and waitressing had to be quick to ensure a smooth service. I am barista trained here as well.

Waitressing/Bottomless Brunch - Bonne Sante - Barbican

Alongside university studies, I was a waitress at a successful restaurant on the Barbican. This involved managing multiple tables of bottomless brunch orders, requiring a fast-paced work ethic. We were trained in wine pairing in order to provide a personalised experience for the customers dining with Bonne Sante.

Marine Conservation - Conservation Diver - POD Volunteer - South Africa
