About

I am currently enrolled at Runshaw College, where I am doing a Level 2 Business BTEC. I chose this because in the future I would like to do a degree apprenticeship within the business and finance industry. I chose to attend Runshaw College to give myself a new challenge in a new environment, grow my social circle and develop my own skills.

I believe I am conscientious and reliable, which has been shown through my past working experiences. I captained the under 18 Bolton School boys' water polo team to a second and first place finish in the ESSA competitions for schools across England. This opportunity helped me grow as a leader and develop my teamwork and leadership skills.

I have also represented the North of England on two separate occasions, and on one occasion I was the top goal scorer in the tournament, helping the team achieve a 3rd place finish. I am also a qualified lifeguard, with training in pool safety, supervision and responding to emergencies.

Experience

Volunteered Sailing Instructor - Club Nautico Arena

(2022-07 - 2022-08)

During my time volunteering at Club Nautico Arena, I worked with children aged 4-7, helping them put their life jackets on and assisting the sailing instructors by loading buoys and weights onto the speedboats. I also helped the children load their boats into the water and sail off from the port. When volunteering, we were in the water from 10:30 to 12:30.

During these hours I helped throw the anchor down and tie all the sailing boats to the speedboat so that we and the children could eat and go for a swim. From 13:00 to 15:00, I took some children with other sailing instructors to a canteen, where we fed them and played with them until their parents came to collect them.

Volunteered Sailing Instructor - Club Nautico Arena

Water Polo Coach - Bolton School

(2023-09 - 2024-06)

I also volunteered at Bolton School during my time as a student as a water polo coach with former Great Britain coach Andy McGinty. I coached Year 8 students, both boys and girls. I taught them the basics of water polo and also worked with a more advanced group, teaching them more advanced techniques and plays.

I also travelled with the Year 8 team to Northampton twice to coach and watch them compete in the National Age Group ESSA competition, a competition between many schools across England. I have also represented the North of England in regional competitions.
