Lucy Baker

I am a young and passionate individual seeking to begin my career in digital marketing, going forward with the knowledge that I have acquired from working as a sales assistant at Smart Ideas LTD for the past 2.5 years and completing my level 3 digital marketing course at Matthew Boulton College.

I am currently a part time sales assistant at Smart Ideas LTD, where I have been working since November 2021.

I carry out duties with commitment; these include inventory counts, ensuring accurate transactions using the point of sale system, filling up stock, helping with display merchandising, and maintaining appearance of the store.

I am an extremely empathetic and patient communicator, demonstrated by engaging with customers in an affable yet professional way, maintaining a welcoming environment in the store, shown through receiving positive feedback from customers

As well as this, I have shown leadership skills by effectively training multiple new employees.

However, I am now looking to start working within the digital marketing industry.

In June 2024, I will be finishing my level 3 digital marketing extended diploma course at BMC Matthew Boulton college.

Through my digital marketing course, I have gained experience with digital marketing tools such as Canva, photoshop, and website creation platforms. My project based assignments have allowed me to create visually compelling content through the use of these tools.

I have also successfully planned, produced, and hosted my own experiential event within the college, promoting krispy Kreme donuts. Every aspect of the event led to developing my personal and professional skills. For example, creating my own background decorations has allowed me to develop my personal creativity, managing team members gave me the opportunity to enhance my leadership skills and coordinate tasks effectively, and managing the logistics of the event has led to overrall project management skills.
