Lucy Robinson

I am a Year 14 student currently studying at Portadown College, where I am completing three A-Levels in Health and Social Care, Food and Nutrition, and English. I am currently seeking part-time employment that can fit around my school schedule and existing part-time job. I am a reliable, organised and hardworking individual who is able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Through my current part-time employment, I have developed strong communication and time management. I am adaptable and confident when working in new environments, and I am quick to learn and apply new information. My experience in dancing and volunteering has also helped me to develop strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

These experiences have encouraged me to use my own initiative and work confidently with others. I am friendly, approachable and enthusiastic, and I am always willing to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.

Personal Care Assistant - Personal

I complete 3-4 hours each week providing support to an adult with additional needs. This involves me assisting with her personal hygiene and physical care, ensuring her needs are met in a safe, respectful and supportive manner. Working closely with this individual allows me to develop strong communication, patience and responsibility skills. I can work both accompanied with another individual and independently, demonstrating reliability and organisation.

GB Volunteering and Squad Leader - GB

I volunteer each Thursday evening at GB, supporting and assisting younger members while fulfilling my responsibilities as a Squad Leader. I encourage teamwork and help to organise and deliver a variety of activities each week. I use my own initiative, take responsibility for the members in my squad and ensure they are supported and engaged. Working in a busy and demanding environment has helped me develop patience and leadership skills.

Church Creche and Sunday School Volunteer - Church

I support and supervise young children while helping to create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment. I have developed patience, communication, organisation and teamwork skills through working with children and other volunteers.

Highland Dancing Member - Markethill Highland Dancing School

(2022-09 - 2026-09)

I participated in Markethill Highland Dancing School for four years and successfully completed up to Grade 3 in my examinations. This allowed me to develop discipline, commitment and time management through regular training and preparation. I was able to build more confidence and gained the ability to work towards goals independently.
