Lucy Young

I have now finished my T level Adult nursing course and I am about to commence a degree in Childhood studies at Sunderland University in September 2026. My family are currently moving house from East Boldon to Hexham to be closer to family and this is one of the reasons I am looking for new part time employment. I am currently working at Homebargins in Jarrow, Tyne and wear with a 12 hour contract and overtime where available, I have worked here from age of 16, working in a very busy fast paced environment where I work mostly with customers on tills but do rotate onto floor and stocking store on fill shifts.

I do enjoy my job working alongside the team and customers. I will miss this role once I move house. I have a lot of skills learned buring my time here, I am a great team worker, work to deadlines given.

I have excellent customer service and communication skills. I am a good time keeper and reliable. Prior to this role when I was 16 and still at school I was employed for match-day work for Sunderland football club, where I worked matchdays,charity events and concerts within the catering department.

When I left school I combined this roll with Newcastle united football club where I worked within the VIP boxes for catering and drink service during match day events. I kept this roll until I applied for homebargins closer to home. When I am not at work I do enjoy socialising with family and friends, I am a member of my local Gym and enjoy walks at the beach.

Retail Sales Assistant - TJMorris Home Bargains - Jarrow

I currently work as a team member at Home Bargains, on a 12 hour a week contract. My job role includes: customer service, whether this involves cash handling or assistance on the retail floor. I also assist with stock replenishment. Home bargains is a very fast paced and busy working environment. The reason I'm looking for another job role is my family is relocating to Hexham.

Hospitality Staff - Sodexo - Newcastle upon Tyne

I worked at Newcastle United from August 23 to July 24. This was one of 2 jobs working match days and events within hospitality. I left this jobs as the season ended and I had commenced work at Homebargins.

Catering staff - SUNDERLAND AFC - Tyne and Wear

I have worked here since February 2023 every home match, it is usually every 2 weeks for 4 hours max. This also includes serving hot and cold beverages to customers over the counter and soft drinks.
