With 15 years’ of working directly with children at risk and their families, I have gained a huge experience and understanding around safeguarding, children’s rights and legislation towards the protection of children.

With this knowledge I have become a leader within my current department and a go to person on most matters. Through my diligence I strive to learn and educate myself further, through readings and keeping up with the latest news and information around child protective services and the methods on dealing with vulnerable children.

I have had to adapt myself to various situations, de-escalate conflicts, find solutions to problems and provide documented evidence when require. These instances normally take the guise of negation between 2 parties at a sensitive point in their lives. I have always succeeded to ensure the child’s safety and well-being were paramount at all times.

In my personal life, I am a mother of 3 young boys who keep me active and alert. I also assist my elderly mother daily, ensuring she is cared for. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and following my favorite sport, football.
