Whilst working at the Theatre Royal Bath and elsewhere, I have learned how to resolve carpentry and plumbing issues alongside general maintenance tasks. I am adept at using a variety of tools and access equipment to fix various problems. I can quickly assess issues to find fast and effective solutions.

I am able to use my experience to spot minor issues before they escalate. Working within a theatre environment also means I am conscious of health and safety when working around others, especially the general public. I am able to ensure that the environment is safe for myself and others around me.

Although I have found my role fulfilling, I seek to broaden my expertise and advance my professional development within your organisation.

Stage Technician - Theatre Royal Bath - Bath

I am employed by a producing and receiving house encompassing three venues: the Main House, the Ustinov Studio and the Egg Theatre, in addition to building maintenance. My professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with building maintenance (carpentry, plumbing and painting)
• Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of external areas, including flat roofs.
• Assisting with fit-ups, get-outs and the technical operation of the stage and fly system.
• Collaborating with riggers on the installation of points within the grid.
• Developing and learning cue plots.
• Operating, programming and maintaining automated systems.
• Undertaking the repair of sets, furniture and props.
• Supporting resident staff in the maintenance of technical areas and the counterweight fly system.
