Worked in the irreversible labels department as a machine operator at the manufacture of materials for monitoring temperature such as labels, thermal paints, inks, welding sticks and indicators.
- Running of a label machine at a good pace by getting all the correct materials together such as adhesives, lamination films, two or three different colour foils, right chemical application and fitting in the correct metal design plate and cutting plate needed for each customer order
- Carry out quality checks on each label ensuring they are cleanly cut with all the writing and logo on, the coloured foils and adhesive are running in the right order as well as the chemical applicator is in the centre of the label known as the temperature and must be spot on to ensure it is at a acceptable standard
- During the production process carry out a cut test on the adhesive so that the labels are cutting well and test a label on a small device to check that the chemical is working by heating it up by the correct temperature as it rises gradually
- Fill out paperwork on each order start and finish by writing down batch codes of raw materials and get label samples together to be taken to a laboratory for accurate testing before the order can be booked out on the computer ready to be packed away and then despatched

- Operate a counterbalance forklift truck regularly and carry out tasks such as stacking bales, collecting lap, core stillages, underliner waste, baskets of trimmed board to the waste segregation area, scan ready and finished goods before taking them to the dispatch area and finally unload and load wagons such as new pallets coming in, where as getting rid of scrap pallets and loading all the waste, including recyclables once or twice a day
- Responsible for the running of production in the plates and trays department by putting on reels of paperboard, running the machines at a speed of 37bpm, carrying out quality and quantity checks before they were packed away for despatch and filling out the paperwork at the end of each shift
