• Ensure the delivery and accessibility of written content that supports the organisation's objectives, primarily fundraising targets
• Write, edit and proofread written content including cases for support, stories, interviews, facts and figures, glossaries and interviews

• Contacted court centres and legal professionals in order to ensure accuracy of every transcript

Editor at GlobalData (2018-05 – 2023-03)

• Proofread and edited lengthy reports on a wide range of consumer topics, from baby food to artificial intelligence. Clients included international companies such as Coca-Cola, as well as government organisations and industry specialists
• Rewrote large swathes of text as most reports were written by ESL writers and therefore lacked the required tone
• Edited all reports in accordance with the GlobalData style guide, using US and UK English
• Provided detailed feedback for every report to help writers learn and improve
• Worked from home full time, keeping in regular contact with colleagues via Zoom, email, etc.

• Liaised with solicitors, prosecutors, legal advisors and defendants to ensure the smooth running of the daily court process

Sub-editor at Newsquest (2015-07 – 2017-06)

• Used a content management system to proofread, legal-check, fact-check, cut to fit and rewrite up to 50 stories each day for national, regional and local newspapers
• Regularly communicated with editors and reporters across the UK to discuss potential problems
• Dealt with enquiries from members of the public who phoned through to the newsroom
• Wrote headlines, sub-headings, straplines, etc., ensuring the stories grabbed readers' attention
• Kept to a number of deadlines every day, ensuring copy was sent in time for print
