As someone who always enjoyed the practical aspects of school learning, alongside developing a strong foundation in Mathematics and Physics, I naturally developed a passion for becoming an electrician. My passion for all things electrical was further developed as I spent several years during early high school living in an international engineering community in Dukhan, Qatar. The opportunity to regularly interact with engineers in my local community sparked an interest in pursuing an electrical related career.
Further, living in Cambridge, a city known for its technology focus, further increased my passion for electrical engineering related disciplines. These experiences provided me with valuable interactions with people who were passionate about problem-solving using technology. Since summer 2024, my family and I have settled permanently in Edinburgh.
I have successfully completed the SECTT Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship at West Lothian College and am gaining valuable work experience, previously in hospitality and currently in retail, while actively applying for an electrical apprenticeship or related role with an immediate start.
