With over 14 years’ experience across banking, energy trading and commodity finance in London and Geneva, I bring strong technical expertise in Trade Finance Operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance .
Throughout my career, I have managed the full lifecycle of trade finance instruments including Import/Export Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), Bank Guarantees, Parent Company Guarantees (PCGs), and Letters of Indemnity (LOIs) in accordance with UCP600, ISP98 and URDG758 . I have extensive experience in documentary checking, amendments, claims handling, SWIFT MT103/MT202/MT754/MT999 messaging, and settlement processing, ensuring adherence to internal controls, ICC rules, and FCA regulatory requirements .
My background includes comprehensive KYC/CDD onboarding, sanctions screening, AML/CTF compliance, and identification of Trade-Based Money Laundering (TBML) red flags . I have worked closely with Trading, Treasury, Legal, Risk and external banking counterparties to monitor credit exposure, reconcile bank charges, manage liquidity utilisation, and produce management information (MI) and risk reporting dashboards .
Technically strong and detail-oriented, I am proficient in Advanced Excel, exposure reporting, contract validation (Spot and Term), Incoterms 2010/2020, and audit preparation .
