I am a helpful and caring person who is passionate about animal welfare. I am currently attending York Supported Internship where I am completing a qualification that includes customer Service skills, communication skills, and work skills. I also gained valuable work experience in a placement at Tadcaster Animal Physiotherapy where I was doing the role of a stable hand completing tasks like, mucking out, grooming and maintained the fields.

I am currently doing a work placement at Beetle Bank Farm where I work as a farm worker. I hope to continue developing my skills working with animals by applying for an apprenticeship as a veterinary nurse.

Farm worker at Beetle bank open farm (2025-04 – Present)

• Ensure all the animals pens are kept clean and hygienic.
• Clean and refill the animal's water bottles and buckets.
• Sweep the barn so that it is kept clean.
• Dispose of animal waste according to the farm's procedures.
• Lead interactive activities with the customers and animals.
• Work well as part of a team collaborating with senior leaders.
• Follow health and safety procedures reporting any issues to management.

Stable hand at Naburn Grange Riding Centre (2023-03 – Present)

• Ensure all the horses are ready for their lessons by grooming them and putting their tack on.
• Follow procedure to ensure that all the feeds are made correctly and given to the correct horse.
• Support customers to follow safety procedures when getting on the horses.
• Ensuring that the full livery's stables are kept up to standard in terms of cleanliness.
• Offer guidance to customers on where to go to get the horse that they are riding.
• Make sure that the muck heap is kept square and as low as possible.
• Ensure that the hay and straw is kept tidy by sweeping it and getting rid of any old or dirty product.
• Take the horses to and from their dedicated fields and help them exercise.
• Rebook customers in for their regular lessons.
• Ensure that all the customers have paid by counting the money and the end of the day.
