Experience

Finance Assistant at CheqUp (2025-11 – 2026-04)

I worked as a finance assistant at the Chippenham location. I was supporting the daily financial operations by updating cash flow forecasts, assisting with stock takes and balance sheet reconciliations, managing accounts payable and maintaining transactional processes. Additionally, I further contribute to accurate reporting, strong financial controls and efficient month-end processes.

Apprentice Accounts Payable Assistant at Catalent Pharma Solutions (2022-09 – 2025-09)

I worked as an accounts assistant within the Swindon Finance Team at Catalent, more specifically accounts payable. I assisted with accounts payable monthly queries involving POs and invoicing with the use of JD Edwards and reporting, raising manual payments and maintaining payment documentation, produce weekly expense reports and any ad hoc Oxford site support with the use of SAP. Additionally, I carried out month-end reconciliations such as bank reconciliations and journals.

I have also dealt with preparing accruals such as utilities on a monthly basis. I have had some previous accounts receivable experience and carried out tasks such as commercial invoice raising, attended AR calls and foster collaboration and teamwork by aiding the team to follow up with any overdue balances from customers and assist with development revenue and provide other AR support.

Accounting Apprentice - Payroll at New College, Swindon A week duration in relation to AAT Level 2 work experience: Shadowing an employee and actively inputting and calculating employee information, hours worked, salaries and wages, deductions, net and gross pay from given invoices and credit notes. Critical thinking skills, mathematical calculations and good use of software such as Sage were involved. This gave me an insight of what it would be like in the workplace as I would like to go into accountancy.
