I am a qualified architect with fifteen years´ experience in both Portugal and Angola. Since moving to
England, I have had my qualifications recognised by the ARB and have become a chartered member of RIBA. I am currently looking for an opportunity to develop my knowledge as an architect in
Dubai.
I am a very organized, responsible, and creative person with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. I consider myself to be dynamic, taking a conceptual approach to new projects, from initial sketching through to completion of all the RIBA stages.
During my time as an architect, I have worked in various sectors including education, courts, prisons,
healthcare, residential and commercial services as well as transport.
I am particularly interested in Carbon Zero, Passive House and other ways to improve the way we build,
and often subscribe to various webinars on the topic. Indeed, I am currently enrolled in a post-graduation programme in sustainable architecture and construction and I am training to become a Passive House
Designer.
During my time as an architect, I have worked in various sectors including education, courts, prisons,
healthcare, residential and commercial services as well as transport. In the United Kingdom, I have worked for Victoria Holland Architects with a focus on private residential character buildings, and as a project manager for DART, an enterprise whose work focused on corrective treatments in the event of property disasters such as fire and flooding.
I have significant experience in the residential sector, both as a collaborator and author in Portugal, Angola, and the UK. In addition, I have worked on a number of education projects. I was co-author of a new secondary school in Orem, within the governmental programme, Parque Escolar, which served to remodel and renovate all schools across the country, and collaborated in the development of a kindergarten and a secondary school project as well as several mixed-use schemes in Luanda.
Within the healthcare sector, I collaborated on a project to extend the building of the Portuguese Institute for Blood and Transplantation and in Luanda in the development of a model surgery that would be implemented in various areas of the country. I also worked in the commercial sector, collaborating in the development of warehouses, logistics centres, shopping forums, and an outlet in Angola.
