After a fulfilling fifteen-year tenure in the pharmaceutical sector, holding leadership roles at industry giants like Pfizer, J&J, and Takeda, I am eager to transition my expertise to the field of digital education. As the Head of the Center for Scientific Leadership and Education at Takeda, I collaborated with esteemed institutions such as MIT and IDEO, along with tech leaders from Harvard Business School, Apple, and Google. Together, we crafted and executed digital education curricula that reached over fifty thousand employees, significantly enriching organizational learning and development.
I spearheaded initiatives that educated more than ten thousand clinical scientists and professionals on advanced topics such as ethical AI, Virtual Reality, and Natural Language Processing. One of our flagship programs not only reached over ten thousand medical and business professionals but also led to a notable publication with the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence and garnered industry accolades for its high-quality outcomes.
My passion for digital education deepened while leading these programs, sparking a career shift towards a more hands-on role where I could directly impact educational processes and outcomes. This led to my current research, which examines how emotions projected by AI influence teachers' willingness to collaborate with them, aiming to enhance the ways educators engage with technological advancements.
The role of Digital Education Assistant at Oxford excites me as it aligns perfectly with my aspirations to be a hands-on facilitator in the educational field. My extensive experience in designing and implementing corporate learning programs, combined with the insights gained from my MSc in Education, Digital and Social Change, prepares me well for this position. I thrive in environments that require robust relationship building and cross-departmental collaboration, skills I honed during my corporate tenure and now seek to apply within academia.
As someone deeply committed to the continuous improvement of digital education practices, I am particularly drawn to this role's focus on developing inclusive and flexible learning pathways and supporting the use of digital tools and pedagogical approaches. My strong organizational and problem-solving skills ensure that I can operate effectively under minimal supervision, providing thorough support and innovative solutions within the CTL’s agile Digital Education Team.
I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to and learn from Oxford’s community while leveraging my background to foster a culture of innovation and excellence in digital education.
