I have previously worked at Grant Thornton UK LLP as an insolvency administrator and currently completing my LPC LLM. In my previous role, I assisted the senior managers and helped my director with projects. As a part of my job, I investigated the financial affairs of my client's debtors, reviewed documents, produced annual reports and was responsible for filing closure documents to the Companies House.

I have achieved a 2:1 for my LLB and taken Business Law for my LPC LLM with corporate law and practice as my elective.

Live cases

• Assisting senior members of the group with any pending tasks on their cases and manage diary lines.
• Produced quarterly file reviews for ongoing cases: Drafting case strategy, checked dividends payable, Comply with SAR requirements, reviewing Bank reconciliation.
• Instructed agents to carry out property valuations of the bankruptcy assets and prepared reports with enclosed property calculation.
• Instructed solicitors to take repossession of the debtor’s bankruptcy estate.
• Prepared fee estimates and manage budgets on cases by keeping an accurate record of chargeable time spent on casework.
• Reviewed bank statements to track down any unreasonable transactions and submit reports to the case manager.
• Conducted investigations into any unauthorised transaction by correspondence with the bankrupt, the bank, the mortgagee, finance companies etc.
• Reviewed the bankrupt’s Insolvency Service Accounts, monitored transactions, and processed the payments via our transaction log.

Closure case

• Notify the ISA, Court, and the Official Receiver that the cases are inclined to close.
• Uploaded Winding Up Notice to the High Court of Justice portal. 
• Taken minutes during meetings.
• Sent Winding Up Order to the Companies House with the final report.
