GP Work Experience at Hayes Medical Centre

• Worked in reception, undergoing administrative tasks such as overlooking patient records and organising these based on activity of patients.
• Spoke with patients at the window, regarding appointment times as well as communicating booking procedures to all sorts of patients, including beginner English speakers.
• Scanned patient records and put them into the online medical system.
• Booked blood tests, analysing doctor notes to ensure category of fasting to inform patient.
• Manage busy environments in timely manner.

Primary School Work Experience at Berkeley Academy

• Worked with Reception kids, aged 5-6, assisting them with tasks and providing a comfortable, gentle learning environment through answering all sorts of questions and being approachable.
• Oversaw the children during breaktime, which required an attention to detail to ensure every individual child is safe and happy. Also required deescalating conflict between these children in ways that wouldn't further aggravate or upset either of them, so needed to adapt my tone depending on the situation.

Volunteering at hospital at King's College Hospital

• Assisting hospital staff with tasks such as handing dinner out to patients, asking patients if they'd like tea/coffee as well as spending time conversing with patients having thoughtful conversation.
• Requires a careful and catered communication approach for each patient to ensure they are comfortable and to avoid agitation to maximise patient experience.
• Requires thoughtful resolutions to be made when patients have concerns related to food, or the environment itself.
