Food Service Worker - McDonald's
(2007-02 - 2007-04)
During the time I worked in McDonald's, I covered cleaning, I was trained to serve the customers, I worked behind the counter cooking all different food items on the menu.
Food Service Worker - Subway
(2008-03 - 2008-05)
During the time I worked at Subway my role was very similar to my previous job, although I enjoyed working with public and enjoyed interacting. I left Subway as I realised that I didn't want to work in this type of industry.
Care Worker - Woodlands Care Home
(2018-12 - 2019-04)
During the time I worked in Woodland's care home, I found that I really enjoyed doing this type of work, in this role, I cared for the elderly that suffered with Dementia. I gave personal care with dignity; I followed a care plan of each resident that I worked with. We had 3 different rooms that had different stages of dementia from mild to severe to end of life care.
Each resident had different care plans and personal preferences and I got a lot of satisfaction from working here. I had to stop due to my partner became quite poorly and I needed to look after him.
Care Worker - Home Instead
(2021-02 - 2021-05)
I stared to work again, but in this role, I worked in the community. I had more responsibility e.g.: to give out medication if it was needed, I prepared meals, I did shopping, general household cleaning and general maintenance. I followed a rota, this helped with time keeping and being responsible which made me personally gave me satisfaction and feel good that I was doing something rewarding.
Unfortunately, my partner became terminally poorly and I decided the best decision was to stop working and to take care of my partner at the time.
