My name is Manuella Chamie and I am 23 years old who is a recent graduate of Coventry University with The BSc (Hons) Applied Biosciences degree which explores life at all levels from chemicals,
molecules and cells to organ systems. The degree also explores human health and illness and how they are managed in the context of contemporary research, as well as how populations,
communities and the environment influence health and illness. I have been dedicating my education in science for the past 6 year which involved many projects and Laboratory work involving taking blood samples.
I am a bilingual speaker who speaks fluent French as my mother tongue other than English which I have found this beneficial in some of my previous work roles. I think this a great when communicating with people internationally or visitors to the United Kingdom. This has also helped me with international projects such as the Collaborative online international project: Microbiology
(Antibacterial) by Antbio Pharmaceutical company based in France that I took part in.
I am very motivated and not only do I adapt to a new environment quickly but I have gotten feedback that I am a very fast learner. I am an honest, trustworthy, self-motivated and reliable. I always put my full effort into everything and do to the best of my ability. I am enthusiastic, friendly and cooperative. I'm told I take on leadership very well.
It is important to have good communication skills in a work space which I have with customers,
patients and my colleagues.
Due to my many different jobs roles since the age of 16 I have gained a lot of skills and experiences. I have worked in retail and sale roles where I was exceeding my targets, I think I have a great customer approach and service. I have also gained experience in the clinical industry as a OPD where it was a very fast pace hospital environment.
I have also worked as a fully trained healthcare assistant which was amazing that I could make someone's life easier. I am always ready to work and have a strong drive. I am highly dedicated, motivated and I have a good mind-set to achieve my goals.
I contribute and undertake any facilities in a variety of situations.
As of recent I have been working in the research and development department of which has allowed me to pick up many different skills and understanding in clinical trials. I think due to my Bioscience degree it has allowed me to have a better understanding and advantage within this field. My current tile is a clinical data officer but I take part in many coordinating tasks such as being a point of contact for patients via phone, letter and email.
I have also taken responsibility for ensuring that the procedures and treatments agreed within the SOP’s, study protocol are fulfilled according to good clinical practice (GCP) which I had taken my training in September 2022. This role as let me get into communication with different teams involved in studies including fellows, pharmacy and technicians.
I am always ready to work and have a strong drive and happy to work in flexibly as living in central
London is easy to get to different points and I am also drive.
