My passion has always been people. Whether through my professional work, community projects or everyday life, I have always been drawn to supporting others, helping them navigate challenges and finding practical solutions that improve their wellbeing and quality of life.
For more than fifteen years I have run my own successful healthcare practice in Brighton and Hove, working with people from all walks of life and supporting them through a wide range of physical, emotional and mental health challenges. Along the way I have learnt that often the most important thing we can offer someone is to listen, understand their situation and help them feel supported, valued and empowered to move forward.
A significant part of my work has involved supporting people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, chronic illness and major life transitions. I have also worked extensively with neurodiverse children and adults and understand the importance of patience, empathy and adapting communication to meet individual needs. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the importance of patience, empathy and adapting my approach to meet people where they are.
I have a particular interest in supporting young people as they navigate an increasingly complex world, and I am passionate about helping individuals build confidence, resilience and a stronger sense of connection to themselves and those around them.
Community has always been incredibly important to me. Earlier in my career I created and ran community-based rehabilitation programmes that brought people together to learn, connect and support one another. I thrive in environments where people collaborate, share ideas and work towards a common goal. Building relationships, creating opportunities for connection and helping people access the support they need are some of the aspects of my work I find most rewarding.
Alongside my people skills, I bring strong organisational and administrative experience gained through many years of managing my own business. I am highly organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
At heart, I am someone who enjoys helping others flourish. Whether supporting an individual, contributing to a team or strengthening a community, I am motivated by making a positive difference and helping people feel seen, heard and supported.
I am accustomed to handling highly sensitive and confidential information and understand the importance of professionalism, discretion and accurate record keeping. I regularly communicate with patients, families and healthcare professionals and am confident managing conversations with people who may be distressed, anxious or upset. I pride myself on remaining calm, compassionate and professional, even in challenging situations.
Running my own practice has also required excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. I am confident using digital systems, databases and office software and am comfortable learning new systems quickly. I enjoy working independently but equally value being part of a team where people work together to provide the best possible service.
