I am a passionate and committed individual who believes in giving back to the community. I have experience working with children of primary school age, teenagers and adults. I am dedicated to supporting others and helping every student I work with stay motivated in their learning.
I also aim to motivate the people I work alongside. I believe in meeting people where they are in life, encouraging them to fulfil their potential and helping clients, particularly teenagers, feel able to talk openly about their feelings. I am a compassionate, qualified and registered counsellor with proven experience supporting clients with their mental and emotional wellbeing.
I provide a confidential and supportive space where students can express themselves freely and without judgement. In my previous roles, I have worked with students with ASD, ADHD, anxiety, self-harm and depression. I have mentored and motivated students who needed additional support, supervised a class of six students once a week, participated in classroom learning games and created engaging educational materials.
In my experience, showing empathy is essential when working with students. It helps them feel supported, listened to and understood. I am a registered member of BACP and understand the importance of its ethical framework and the value of belonging to a professional body that promotes the role and relevance of the counselling professions.
I have completed relevant courses that have enhanced my communication skills and improved my understanding of others. Having worked both independently and as part of a team, I understand the opportunities, challenges and rewards of working towards the same goal. I am always willing to go the extra mile to provide students with the best possible educational experience.
