I work for a busy Gas company and my main role is to make up orders for Gas engineers and distribute them to the relevant sites. This involves having knowledge of several parts and tools which are required for the relevant jobs, some of which are emergencies. I'm also responsible for stock taking, and the ordering and return of stock which I do on my personal work laptop.

My other duties also include keeping a check on tools that are due for calibration on a hand held tablet, and making sure the relevant equipment is returned and registered for repair or calibration. I also assist in the delivery of parts and tools direct to site using a van during busy periods. I also hold a full forklift and Telehandler licence which I need as I use both on a daily basis to put pallets on the racking, bring in deliveries and load all sizes of gas pipe onto trailers.

• Unloading and loading deliveries, checking invoices, issuing receipts, stocktaking, stock replenishment, and recycling cardboard and plastic
• I had a big impact on my job as i had a lot of responsibility as I received deliveries as well as checking stock levels, keeping the place tidy and also filling the shelves

Workshop assistant - Sims automatics - Glasgow

• Picking orders of leisure equipment and loading them on to a van and assisting driver with delivery and installation of equipment to locations throughout Scotland. i would also assist in the workshop when needed where I would help repair and maintain equipment
• I helped with the delivery and installation of equipment so I had a big responsibility as I was trusted with expensive equipment, and I also represented the company as I was working with customers and the public
• I had to help carry heavy leisure equipment into some difficult places and I helped to repair faulty equipment, I also had to work with the public

• I would pick orders and load van with orders making sure everything was there. i would then assist the driver with deliveries throughout Scotland, Northern Ireland and England, on days I would not be on the road I would assist in the warehouse doing general warehouse duties such as keeping the warehouse tidy, receiving incoming stock, and checking stock levels
• I had a good impact at my job as I had an important role to play as I had to assist with heavy goods and deliver them around the country
• I demonstrated good team working skills as you had to work as as part of a team and customer service skills as I faced the public all the time
