I am an infrastructure Engineer with a specialism in System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
SCOM is a very powerful tool provided by Microsoft with an almost unlimited potential to enable full infrastructure monitoring while automating the resolution of common and potential future faults on your domain.
My hourly figure is set on the premise that I would assist another engineer and or knowledge share in my evenings and potentially a single day during the week.
My professional experience is 18 years of Infrastructure engineer work, from 1st - 3rd Line Support, however I have now moved into specialising in SCOM.
I have spent the last 4 years specialising in SCOM to reduce and enhance visibility of outages, over these 4 years I have deployed a new SCOM instance (SCOM 2019) created complex PowerBi dashboards pulling data direct from SCOM's SQL DB's and ultimately hugely reduced outages due to alerting and incidents raised based off what SCOM has discovered.
There is no qualifications or formal training for SCOM.
