Mark Russell

I have over 10 years experience in grounds maintenance. I love outdoors and the physical work whatever the weather. I take pride and get satisfaction knowing the work I do is to a high standard. I enjoy physical work using my hands with tools and equipment and even maintaining the tools themselves.

I have over 10 years experience in gardening and horticulture. Currently i work as a charge hand where I would be in charge of a team. I would take instructions from my boss and then I would communicate this to the rest of the team.

In the company I work for we cover a wide range of commercial sites where I would be using a large range of heavy machinery(hedge cutters, push mowers, ride on lawn mowers, strimmers, chain saws) In particular I help to maintain a large commercial site where I regularly cut grass, hedges and prune trees, turf lawns, digging and removing shrub boarders to put down to grass). Secondly I also help to maintain another large commercial site where I would regularly sweep curb edges, empty bins, cut road side grass verges and prune trees and shrubs.

I hold a City and Guilds level 2 certificate of competence in chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting. I also hold a CRS card in Health and Safety. I have recently completed a First Aid training course.
