As the Regional Health and Safety Advisor for Palmers Scaffolding, responsible for Health and Safety matters on eight permanent sites and numerous ad-hoc sites where scaffolding works are conducted as requested by the client. The A38 Project provides access to the support box section of the A38 adjacent to the Aston Reservoir in Birmingham below the Junction 6 area of the A38 Aston Expressway.
- Oversee Health and Safety matters across eight permanent sites and numerous ad-hoc scaffolding assignments
- Revise and enhance existing Risk Assessment/Method Statements and develop new versions to ensure compliance with TG20 when design input is not required
- Monitor compliance with aforementioned Risk Assessments/Method Statements, collaborating with Palmers Supervision and Management
- Conduct regular coordinated and ad-hoc site visits and monthly audits to identify best practice areas for enhancement
- Facilitate access to the support box sections of the A38 Aston Expressway below Junction 6 in Birmingham
- Interpret design and erection methodologies, liaising with contractors and clients regarding Network Rail interactions on the A38 Project
- Review, update, and implement procedural protocols
- Serve as the primary contact for workforce and management regarding Health and Safety
- Liaison with client management effectively
- Audit sites and personnel to ensure adherence to safe practices
- Accident/Incident investigation and promote and implement any recommendations to prevent reoccurrence
- Recording and dissemination of monthly HSE Statistics
- Promote and communicate lessons learned from the business as a whole to site based management and teams to aid in promoting best practice
