Customer Support Specialist at Ice Comms (2025-09 – Present)
My role at Ice Comms concerns the diagnosing and resolving of issues with business customer mobile phones and accounts, as well as performing complex tasks such as line replacements and transfers of ownership. It has also included dealing with often challenging customers by phone and email, and liaising with internal departments and third parties such as hardware suppliers, finance companies and network providers. I have quickly asserted myself to be an integral, senior member of the customer support team and a valued point of reference for more junior team members, while I have been entrusted with other responsibilities such as the writing of scripts and templates for use in emails and on phone calls.
I was awarded employee of the month in December 2025.
Business Jet Charter Broker/Director at DeluxeJet (2024-09 – 2025-09)
An associate and I recognised an opportunity to create a business in an industry which I have been passionate about for most of my life. DeluxeJet was formed in September 2024 and during my time in the business, I was responsible for the creation of content, marketing items and branding, as well as client-facing roles dealing with high and ultra-high net worth individuals. My role also involved the chartering of private jets, the negotiating of contracts and concierge work at private terminals across the UK including at Biggin Hill, London Stansted, Farnborough and RAF Northolt.
Editor, Aviation News magazine at Key Publishing (2018-10 – 2024-09)
I joined Key Publishing as the assistant editor of Aviation News magazine and quickly established myself as a knowledgeable and proficient member of editorial staff. A large part of my role was the drafting of articles, editing features produced by freelance contributors, proofreading, compiling captions, and picture editing. Within a short period, I was transferred to Airliner World, the company's flagship commercial aviation magazine, and given additional responsibilities.
The nature of this role meant that I took on large amounts of extra work at short notice, including overseeing the production of and ensuring that an issue of Airliner World went to press in a timely manner when the editor was unexpectedly absent overseas. For this, I was presented with the company's Rising Star of the Year award in 2019. I was subsequently promoted to editor, overseeing the commissioning, production, adherence to budgets, and day to day running of the magazine as well as other publications, including Airports of the World and AIR International ensuring all press deadlines were met.
In August 2022, I returned to Aviation News as its editor and sole member of editorial staff. During my time in the editor's seat, I did my utmost to revitalise the title, which was evidenced by increases in sales of as much as 25% on all other issues in the same calendar year, and 18% ahead of the same issue a year prior.
Ramp agent, Swissport (2018-03 – 2018-10)
I was responsible for loading and unloading baggage, cargo and other items from aircraft in a safe and timely manner. This involved working and communicating effectively as part of a team in a noisy and busy environment accommodating the needs of personnel from other companies. I worked safely and in compliance with Civil Aviation Authority and Manchester Airports Group regulations and standard operating procedures in noisy, busy and hazardous areas and demonstrated excellent awareness of hazards and health and safety guidelines while airside.
I was issued with an airside driving permit and qualified to drive electric baggage tractors for the towing of unit load devices, ground power units, aircraft towbars and engineering steps. I also played an integral role in pushback procedures and the making safe of parked aircraft.
