Computer Science graduate with experience in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning,
Cybersecurity and Software Engineering, looking for a career in Software Engineering.
Prior to my career change, my last job was as an Assistant Housing Officer. I was responsible for contact between the company and customers or stakeholders following their initial contact with Customer Services. This ranged from chasing colleagues for information to feed back to customers,
meeting with customers and discussing issues, then working out a plan of action and following it through.
I assisted colleagues in sharing tasks or covering absence to ensure our KPIs were on target, especially concerning Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Lettings. This required technical skills to navigate of our database, and operation of our Noise Monitoring Equipment in order to secure court evictions for ASB.
I ensured the company’s estates were kept in good condition through regular inspections and passing reports and recommendations to our maintenance department on where things could be improved.
First Class (Hons.) Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the University of East Anglia. For my third year capstone project, I took a Machine Learning algorithm called J48SS and integrated it into the TSML Open Source Java Toolkit. This required commenting, testing and extensive documentation both to allow others to work on the code after submission, and demonstrate my competence in understanding Machine Learning programs and handling submissions to an open-source GitHub repository.
My optional modules chosen included Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Developing Secure Software, Statistics and Analogue & Digital Electronics.
