Amulet Duo, consisting of clarinettist Lovisa Vikenadler & accordionist Martina Petrouová, have performed and toured across Denmark together since 2014. The duo were invited to play at the Chamber Music Society of 1887 prestigious “Young Talent Showcase” concert in 2019, and have studied with solo cellist & docent Niels Ullner (Malmö Symfoniorkester), accordeonist & docent Jytte von Rüden (Duo Modus), and clarinettist Ron Chen-Zion (Esbjerg Ensemble).
The artistic intentions of Amulet Duo is to experiment with the possibilities of the accordion and the clarinet, challenge the norms of classical music performance, and explore the relationship between artist and audience. With original arrangements of both well known pieces and hidden gems, the duo creates a unique chamber music experience.
Accordionist Martina Petrouová (CZ) is both solo and chamber musician performing across Denmark and Czech Republic, known for her unique expressive playing, connecting with audiences and creating a beautiful atmosphere. In 2017 Martina won National Academy of Music’s Soloist Competition and was awarded the first prize of performing with Odense Symphony Orchestra. She has recently graduated from the Danish National Academy of Music (Odense, Denmark) with a Soloist diploma.
Clarinettist Lovisa Vikenadler (SWE) is active as a solo- and chamber musician in Denmark, Sweden and the USA, and has performed together with Odense Symphony Orchestra and Esbjerg Ensemble. Described as a musician with a “thoroughly personal expression and beautiful sound”, she has received Jacobs School of Music’s “Artistic Excellence Award '', Augustinusfonden’s Travel Grant and Cassel’s Music Award for her performance career. Lovisa has a Performer Diploma in Solo Performance from Jacobs School of Music (Bloomington, IN, USA), and a Master of Music from the National Academy of Music (Odense, Denmark).
