Martins Nnamani

I am a compassionate and dedicated social work student who is close to qualifying and registering with Social Work England. I have a strong sense of passion to support, protect and safeguard the welfare and well-being of children and young people so they get the best chances of positive life outcomes. Through my placements at both Barnet Council and John Lyon School, I have gained experience working with children and families who need support under Child in Need (s17), and Child Protection(s20).

This included carrying out child and family assessments to develop tailored support plans for young people, home visits, report writing, collaborating with external agencies to provide early help and building positive relationships with both my colleagues and service users. Prior to my training I acquired over five years' experience working as a support worker, supporting both vulnerable adults and children with complex and challenging needs including those from disadvantaged backgrounds, orphans and children with learning disabilities. The values of empathy, integrity, fairness, diversity, equality and inclusion underpin my practice as an aspiring social worker working hard to support children, young people, vulnerable adults and their families.
