I am a qualified Mental Health Nurse with wide-ranging experiences in acute, forensic, CAHMS, and community mental health settings. I have undertaken experience supporting patients with various mental health conditions and advocating on their behalf. I am fully equipped in undertaking nursing-related tasks including medication administration, admission and discharge planning, CPA care planning, writing CTMs, and liaising within the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
I am a team player with leadership skills and the ability to work independently, seek help when necessary, and dedicated. True leaders, I understand, have respect for others and take responsibility for their actions, and I believe I acquire these qualities. I ensure inclusivity by being non-discriminatory and non-judgmental of others and rejecting all forms of discrimination. I communicate professionally and respectfully with patients and can effectively build trusting relationships.
I am a Mental Health nurse that has participated in the administration of medications, the completion of therapeutic and physical observations, the completion of blood monitoring for patients' glucose, the completion of allocation sheets, and being involved in giving handovers. These are a few of the daily tasks that a nurse performs.
I have expanded my experience in nursing by undertaking a Research Elective placement and helping with a key clinical improvement project around nasogastric tube. For instance, completing clinical audits around the BWC Trust and presenting the finalised research to University of Birmingham lecturers, project supervisors, and programme leads. I am always willing and eager to learn and gain experience in various hospitals in order to broaden my skill set, as I am aware that learning is a never-ending process.
