In my role as Retail Assistant I was responsible for making sure our customers were served quickly and professionally. The environment was frequently very fast-paced and demanding and required me to be friendly at all times even when we were under considerable pressure. I was required to handle cash and digital EPOS transactions and as a result I am confident in handling both cash and digital transactions accurately.
I worked as part of a small team so it was important that we were all flexible and focussed on helping our colleagues out as much as possible. We all had pride in our shop and how it looked, and were proactive about restacking shelves when necessary and stock taking.
