Senior Media Relations Advisor at New Zealand Financial Markets Authority (2023-03 – 2025-04)
- Planned and executed strategic communications projects for the introduction of the Conduct of Financial Institutions (CoFI) regime. Tasks included writing the media release, providing media training and key messages for interviews, and securing radio, television, and digital media coverage.
- Launched the FMA's first monitoring review of New Zealand's financial advice sector. This included producing media content, providing media training, speech writing, and securing interviews.
- Led the communications on the FMA's enforcement activity, ensuring that messaging was consistent, clear and accurate. This achieved wide-reaching coverage of the FMA's action against banks, insurers, fund managers, and financial advisors for breaches of New Zealand financial markets legislation.
- Provided senior leaders with strategic communications advice for the FMA's 2023 and 2024 Annual Report and Parliamentary hearings. This included producing media content, liaising with external stakeholders such as other government departments and the Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister's Office, interview training and written responses to questions from politicians.
- The aforementioned projects helped the FMA's media outreach grow by 30% year on year.
Media Advisor at NZ Police Association (2021-03 – 2023-03)
- Primary objectives were providing media management and strategic advice to the President of the Police Association on matters relating to policing. This included undertaking research and analysing data on issues affecting frontline officers.
- Produced engaging content for the monthly Police News magazine for the association's 15,000+ members. These stories focussed on the human element of policing. Stories included issues facing the Police National Dive Squad, Police Air Support Unit and National Organised Crime Group, an in-depth project on the effectiveness of body-worn cameras, covering the association's two-day annual conference, and how New Zealand Police is protecting its staff through new initiatives.
- Secondary job requirements include speech writing, responding to internal member queries, running the Association's social media channels, and providing technical support to the industrial and legal departments when needed.

- Managed the RNZ Business and Sport website pages, producing high quality content that was informative and easy to understand for RNZ's audience.
