Most recently, also General Counsel and member of the executive management board for a £150 million aviation and energy business, covering extensive corporate activity and a business wind-down.
General Counsel for £300m LSE-listed group with extensive M&A and corporate development focus. Successfully completed 5+ major acquisitions and 2+ joint ventures over 10 years, alongside and 7+ disposals in 10+ jurisdictions and major fund-raising efforts, raising £90+ million. Led legal and EU competition clearance for value-optimising sale of group to major international competitor in 2019-2020.
Secretary for 8 years, including responsibility for all corporate governance and risk management matters including major litigation management. Member of senior executive team contributing to strategy and operations.
My roles have been very broad, spanning periods of rapid growth with considerable global M&A, corporate re-financing, corporate governance and a wide range of commercial agreements, through to business start-up’s, establishing legal teams and crisis management strategies during downturns.
I provide leadership on International legislative monitoring and assessment, compliance and risk analysis using sound judgement. I work alongside the Board influencing corporate decisions and have a strong commercial acumen. Extensively travelled, I enjoy leading projects and I am resourceful, entrepreneurial and good with people.
