Experienced Actuarial Manager in the Life and Pensions sector having worked in a number of different roles, including With Profits, Reporting, BAU and Projects teams. Have recently (July 2023) passed my last actuarial exam. Thrive in a team environment and enjoy mentoring new recruits to the Actuarial profession. Proven track record in getting projects completed on time to a high standard.

Over 11 years experience in the Actuarial industry, predominantly in the Life insurance sector. I have spent the last 3 years in managerial positions, helping both students and analysts to develop their skills and further their career.

In my current role as With Profits Production Manager at The Phoenix Group I have gained a lot of experience in managing lengthy and complex projects, such as the derivation of annual and final bonuses on our With Profits products and PPFM Compliance. Additionally I have enjoyed managing a group of six actuarial students and analysts which has allowed me to hone my leadership style. It has been highly rewarding to play a part in the development of others and I would relish the chance to continue this.

Across my variety of previous roles I have gained exposure to a number of technical areas including modelling, regression and user acceptance testing, calculations of annual policy reviews and writing responses to both policyholders and clients. It is this well rounded background that I believe would make me well suited to a product analyst role as I will be able to use my experience to offer insightful analysis and recommendations.

I have recently passed my last Actuarial exam and am in the process of completing the final parts of my Personal and Professional Development requirements in order to fully qualify as a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Additionally I have a B.Sc (Honours) Degree in Mathematics from the University of Manchester, obtaining a 2:1 with a 66% average.
