Audiology calibration engineer at Acoustic metrology (2014-01 – Present)
Covering the South East, South West and London area. Calibration of audiometry equipment within the NHS and private sectors. Performing annual calibration and repairs of equipment and liasing with heads of departments to BSA targets which give audiology departments confidence that the equipment is functioning correctly and to allow clinics to run without downtime and patients tests are correct.

I was promoted to Team Leader managing a team of 13 individuals across Southern England. My duties involve all aspects of team management including performance management, KPI review and one-to-one support. I use my technical experience to help my team to resolve issues as efficiently as possible to ensure adherence to company service level agreements.
I am also accountable for stock control and health and safety reports to ensure compliance with company process and procedures which include completing PAT tests on any portable appliances they carry. In 2009 the business was restructured and team support became regionalised this reduced the number of team members but allowed me to keep expanding my technical knowledge on new products, one of which (Epson) I became technical specialist for in 2012. I also assisted engineers whilst working on ophthalmic equipment.
Field Service Engineer at Veritek (2004-04 – 2007-07)
I started at Veritek as a field service engineer, main duties included responding to calls through the helpdesk and travelling to sites to carry out emergency repair and scheduled maintenance. I also completed site survey and installation of new photographic machinery which included the configuration of any computer related installations (networking and software installs). I engage with suppliers and carry out electrical diagnostics at PCB and component level.
Photo Production Consultant at Boots (1999-08 – 2004-04)
This was my 1st full time role since leaving school, this role saw me with a team of 3 people in a photolab where my duties required me to operate and maintain photographic equipment, i also had to keep track of stock management for this equipment to keep equipment in working state for as long as possible, as without equipment being used or maintained appropriately financial penalties would apply. My lab quickly gained a good reputation within the business and became a lab where I was asked to train people from other stores and to pass on advice on issues they had.

This role was part time in the evenings which enabled me to fund travel expenses to college. My duties included taking deliveries, and keeping a stockroom in good working order.
