I am a software generalist that values developing useful and well-crafted software.
The most impactful experience in my career was my 4.5 years at Cambridge Consultants where I had to constantly pick up new skills and technologies to solve ever-different problems under challenging timelines. This has made me very adaptable and pragmatic.
I refined my software development skills over time, working on a variety of engineering projects,
including robotics and medical devices. I enjoy their multidisciplinary nature and the opportunity to work across the software stack, from embedded bare metal to multi-threaded application programming.
I am currently on a career break focused on gaining new knowledge, skills, and techniques. I believe that dedicating a full-time effort to bettering my craft at this stage is both helpful and fun.
During this break, I have spent significant time learning the Rust programming language and developing a variety of exploratory software in the unfamiliar field of backend development. I especially enjoyed working with Rust and I would like to develop more with this very promising language.
However, there is only so much I can do on my own and I want to keep solving interesting software engineering challenges for real-world applications, no matter the field, and wish to work alongside equally passionate coworkers.
Sep 2012 - Jul 2015
● Followed courses on linear and non-linear control of power systems and wind turbines.
● Worked as an intern at Siemens Wind Power for 1.5 years as a software developer (SQL).
● In the final project I developed a guidance system for a jet ski (it crashed on the shore, ask me about it).
● Achieved a final grade of 10/12 on the Danish scale (equivalent to a UK 1st).
Sep 2009 - Jul 2012
BSc Computer Science and Automation
● In addition to the standard computer science courses (data structure, algorithms, etc...) I followed courses on dynamical systems modelling and control, and several other maths in different fields. My favourite engineering subjects were linear algebra, control theory, electromagnetism, and physics.
● Laser-focused and disciplined, I achieved the best grade of 110/110 cum laude in the short possible time and was in the top 2% among the 200+ students of my course.
