I am a conscientious and professional English teacher with in-depth experience in teaching and curriculum development. I am dynamic and highly creative in my thinking. I believe knowledge and learning is a shared activity, and am skilled at developing a supportive and positive learning environment.
I am skilled at developing good rapport with children and young people, and can implement learning strategies that cater to the individual needs of students. I am adept at communicating with young children and I believe that learning can be encouraged through children’s creativity and sense of play.
I have been teaching in various roles for 8 years and a further 5 years in curriculum development. I have experience in teaching University students both History of Art, English and reading and writing. I have also taught English to ESL students aged between 10 and 23, and have experience teaching private art classes to children between 3 and 10 years old.
I have also worked in the non-profit sector for a number of years where I have been involved in coordination and management of grant programmes.
I have a Bachelor of Art degree in English Literature and History of Art, and a Master of Arts degree in History of Art. I also have a Tefl 120 hour teaching certificate.
